A special meeting of the Marshall University Board of Governors was held on September 21, 2006, in the President’s Office to consider real estate purchases.
 

Chairman Ketchum called the meeting to order.

A. Michael Perry moved, seconded by John Hess, that Marshall University purchase the 16,442.756 square feet behind the Weiler Steele property for $255,000.00 from CSX.

Virginia King moved, seconded by A. Michael Perry, that Marshall University purchase 1933 & 1935 Maple Avenue, from Theron and Wanda Linville for $65,000.00.

Virginia King moved, seconded by A. Michael Perry, that Marshall University purchase 1937 and 1953 Maple Avenue from Chuck Watrous, Jr., for $110,000.00. ($55,000 each house).

The motions unanimously passed.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
