The mission of the Center for Innovative Education, Research, Policy and Pedagogy will be to stimulate and foster educational innovation and research as a basis for informing educational policy and pedagogical practices in the state and region.  The Center will accomplish this mission through the development of both internal and external collaborative relationships and partnerships.  Representative Center activities will include participation/sponsorship of innovative educational initiatives, policy research studies, and program/project evaluation studies. A special focus of the Center will be developing linkages with Marshall’s graduate programs and students.  These linkages will include cooperative student-faculty projects and the development of related majors/areas of emphasis in the EdD Program and applicable master’s program.  The Center will also serve as a major vehicle for faculty development.
