How do we improve the competitive posture of West Virginia through higher education that prepares graduates for success in a world increasingly dominated by rapid change fueled by the “commerce of ideas.”
How do we create pathways for access and success for all students?
How do we educate students to think critically, integratively and independently?
How do we educate students to perform research, think with and interpret information/data, weigh evidence, clarify underlying assumptions and biases, construct knowledge, deduce implications and meaning, formulate new ideas and derivatives, and recognize and act effectively on new opportunities?
