How do I join Psi Chi?
All you have to do to join Psi Chi is makes sure that you have met the Membership Requirements (available here) and fill out the application. You can access a printable application form here or simply retrieve one from the Psi Chi bulletin board located on the third floor of Harris Hall. Once your application is retrieved, your membership will be voted on at the next scheduled meeting. You will be notified by a Psi Chi officer as to whether you were accepted.
Why should I join Psi Chi?
There are many reasons why you may want to join Psi Chi. Not only does Psi Chi advance psychology awareness, it also provides an opportunity for you to grow as a person and student. Psi Chi is involved in many fundraising and community service programs. Psi Chi members are able to get involved in his or her community and make a difference.
How much does it cost to join Psi Chi?
We wish we could say that it is free to join Psi Chi, but unfortunately, we need money to make the society work. When you are accepted to Psi Chi, you need to pay $35 in order to be recognized nationally as a Psi Chi member. This is a onetime fee which will provide you with a lifetime membership to Psi Chi. However, in order to remain active in the Marshall University chapter, dues must be paid in the amount of $25 per semester.
