Information on the Miller
Analogies Test (MAT)
at the Marshall University Huntington Campus
About the Test:
The Miller Analogies Test, often called the M.A.T. (not mat), is an alternative to the Graduate Record Exams used by a number of schools for evaluation of candidates for graduate school. Its advantage is that often more test dates are available and scores are returned more quickly than with the GRE. The test also does not have a math section. There is an information booklet, available in the Department of Psychology, which should answer most questions about the test. It also contains sample items, which you should study if you intend to take the test. Study books are also available at a number of bookstores, especially college bookstores, for those who are interested.
