Mission
The Purchasing Office mission is to procure goods and service to sustain,
foster, and support the educational and research missions of the University.
The Purchasing Office continues to be a leader in excellence of service -
staffed by professional, diverse, ethical individuals who perform their
duties within the best interest of Marshall
University [MU], Marshall Community &
Technical College
[MCTC], and the Marshall University Research Corporation [MURC].
The Purchasing Office is responsible for procuring goods, services and
commodities for University components in a prompt, efficient, effective, and
compliant manner which coincides with the State Code, Board of Governors,
and current purchasing regulations. The Purchasing Office works within the
boundaries of the profession to continuously seek innovative and effective
processes that facilitate the acquisition process.
Staff
members will assist customers in obtaining products and services from
appropriate sources at the lowest total cost while ensuring the best overall
value. The Purchasing Office continues to create and maintain cooperative
relationships and apply sound business practices while working with
customers and suppliers.
