RBA Staff
A message from the Director:
The Regents Bachelor of Arts Program (RBA) helps meet the needs
of adult students who are returning to college with varying combinations
of college credits, work experiences and training.
Their goal is simple, straightforward and to the point: RBA students
want – and need - to finish something they may have started years
ago.
While motives may be stated as personal fulfillment, career
enhancement, promises made, or role modeling, the common factor
is “I want to earn my college degree.”
Some students join the program for the pure enjoyment of learning
while others are more pragmatic in the knowledge that college
graduates earn significantly more than those with only a high
school diploma.
There is considerable flexibility in the RBA program. Students
can structure their courses to meet personal goals or their next
career objective. It is also important to note that the continued
growth and availability of Marshall University‘s online courses
allow a student to complete the entire RBA degree on-line.
For students who prefer to be in class, the Mid-Ohio Valley Center
in Mason County and the Teay’s Valley Center in Putnam County
offer nearby places for many to take courses. We have students
completing the degree without setting foot in Huntington. We are
eager to meet with potential students to explain the program in
detail.
Our staff has many years of experience working with non-traditional
students in the RBA program. We are located in Prichard Hall at
the east end of campus, on the second floor. Please stop by our
office or give us a call to learn how the RBA program can help
you finish what you started!
