Welcome to the Regents Bachelor of Arts Degree Program
I wish to extend to you greetings and a warm welcome to the Marshall
University’s Regents Bachelor of Arts Degree Program!
The RBA program, located in the School of Extended Education, is an innovative baccalaureate degree designed to meet the needs of adult students who have earned some college credits, but whose life realities have prevented them from completing a degree.
There is a slogan in the U. S. Armed Forces’ that states: “The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer.” You have been doing the mere difficult up to this point in your life and may have considered completing a baccalaureate degree impossible. Well, now is the time to complete the “impossible.” The RBA and School of Extended Education staff look forward to the opportunity to help you achieve your educational goals.
I encourage you to view the RBA web pages and discover the unique features of this degree; how to get started; and how to earn and apply credit – including standardized awards and college equivalent credit for certain work and life experiences via a portfolio preparation and evaluation process.
The RBA degree program at Marshall University is the largest in the State with many of its graduates going on to graduate and professional degree programs. To paraphrase Werner von Braun, “Don’t tell me that you don’t belong here. You belong wherever you want to go – and you’ll do plenty well when you get there.”
Aim high – it is your turn to learn. If I or the RBA staff can be of any assistance please give us a call. Thanks much!
Best wishes to your future success,

Donovan Combs
Dean, School of Extended Education
