We like living
in the residence halls because there's always someone around
to talk to and listen. Whether it is help with homework or
just hanging out, our friends are never more than a few doors
away.

My Experience of living at
Marshall has been a great one. Our campus is patrolled 24 hours
a day by Marshall Police Department and the Residence Halls
are monitored by Student Security, Securitas and Hall Monitors.
I've always felt safe living at Marshall.

Living on campus here at Marshall
University has been a very great experience. I have gained
friendships with a lot of people from different backgrounds
and ethnicities. Living on campus allows me to know what is
going on around the University. I am near the cafeterias so
my diet is always healthy. The library is also on campus so
when I know that it's going to be a long night of studying
I just walk five minutes away to the library, study, walk
back to my room real quick, freshen up, and then leave for
class. The biggest advantage about being on campus is that
class is so close. I can get up and go to class even if I
am tired because I know that it's only like a five minute
walk back to my room to get some sleep.

Marshall is a great school
that provides many job opportunities for its students to help
them pay for their schooling. Marshall offers work study,
teaching assistantships, graduate student assistantships,
and many more unique working environments. Marshall is concerned
about the wellbeing of their students and wants every person
to have the opportunity to have a college education. I began
working at Marshall my freshman year in a work study program
and have steadily progressed up the ladder of opportunities
provided by Marshall. Marshall has been wonderful to me and
really has helped me to pay for my schooling without compromising
my time for school.

The cafeterias at Marshall
are good for students for many reasons. Cafeterias are close
to the residence halls and have convenient hours. There are
several options for each meal so everyone can find something
they like. The cafeterias offer a place to hang out with friends
in between class. If you don't have time to eat in the cafeteria,
they also offer to go boxes.

Through my undergraduate
and graduate years at Marshall University, some of my most
fond memories include the championship football teams and
superstar players that I have been able to witness first hand.
Marshall University students have accessibility to great football
games and sporting events that many other colleges students
do not have. The stadium is within walking distance of the
campus and getting a ticket for a big game doesn't involve
a student lottery, camping out or standing in line for hours
at a time. The feeling that a student gets when they walk
into their first Marshall game and witness the sea of green
is unforgettable.

The technology on Marshall's
campus is awesome. I have access to the internet in my room,
in the computer lab in my residence hall, and in the library.
The computers on campus are top-of-the-line and have high
speed internet for fast and free use for all students. The
computers are also available all the time for those late night
study sessions and, since they are located in my building,
I don't have to walk across campus at night. The technology
truly adds to my residence life experience.

I like Marshall because everything
is conveniently located. So if you don't have a car, you're
not at a big loss. All the buildings are within three to five
minutes of one another, as well as local businesses. It provides
a safer atmosphere for college students living on campus as
a bonus, especially when the weather is bad. Overall I like
Marshall because of its beautiful and convenient campus.
