Roommate Requests:
Residence Services attempts to place its residents with the roommates they prefer. Please remember the following guidelines for requesting to room with a specific person.
- Applications must be submitted together with identical option selection. Any discrepancies will cause delays and lessen your chances of having your request honored.
- If you have not submitted your housing application and wish to request a specific person as your roommate, complete the appropriate section of the application with your intended roommate's information. Each student must request the other to be paired as roommates. Should only one student make the request, it will not be processed. Information about the requested roommate is required on the housing application.
- If you have already been assigned to a room with a roommate and want to change to live with someone different, you will have to move in order to reside with your requested roommate (assuming space permits). Both roommates must submit a written request with the other student's information: name, student ID, and hall choice.
- Roommate preference is based on a specific person. With the exception of gender, preference relating to race, religion, age, sexual orientation, handicap, or national origin will not be considered.
