402 & 402L: Officership 4 Hours(R)

*History 221: War in Modern Times 3 Hours
*History 223: Rise and Fall of Nazi Germany 3 Hours
*Military Science 280: Special Topics: Military History 3 Hours
*Any upper level history course approved by the Professor of Military Science.
(* = Students are required to complete one of the listed courses in History.)

The skills and attributes gained through a minor in Military Science and Leadership provide the student with a core of abilities and values that he or she may apply in business, government or public service. Students earning this minor learn about organizational vision, purpose, direction, motivation, delegation, time management, teambuilding, decision-making and problem solving. They also gain appreciation for the impact of policy decisions and current events.

Graduates of the Military Science and Leadership Minor receive a broad-based education in history, leadership and military problem solving that will well prepare them for service to the Active Army, Army Reserves, Army National Guard and local community.

Note:
Contracted Freshmen and Sophomores will take the following Basic Courses:

Military Science
101 & 101L: Foundations of Officership 2 Hours(R)
102 & 102L: Basic Leadership 2 Hours(R)
201 & 201L: Individual Leadership Studies 3 Hours(R)
202 & 202L: Leadership and Teamwork 3 Hours(R)
