SAFETY TRAINING PRESENTATIONS

 

The following presentations are available for viewing at any time and can be scheduled to be taught in person by contacting the Environmental Health and Safety Director, Brian Carrico at 304.696.3432, carrico8@marshall.edu, or in person in room 211 Sorrell Maintenance Building.

Building Representative Safety Training - intended for persons responsible for fire safety on their floor of their building

Carbon Monoxide Safety - intended for anyone

Chemical Awareness and Safety Training - intended for research faculty, staff, and students and all other employees in areas where hazardous chemicals are used or stored

US DOT Hazardous Material Employee Training - Regulated Medical Waste - intended for employees that manage Regulated Medical Waste, particularly those who sign waste manifest paperwork

The following training presentations are available for review online at any time.  They are presented in person by Environmental Health and Safety staff, and employees are required to complete an appropriate Bloodborne Pathogen training in person annually.

Biosafety, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Regulated Medical Waste in Research Laboratories Training - intended for research faculty, staff and students working in research laboratories with or around biological hazards

Bloodborne Pathogens and Regulated Medical Waste Training - intended for faculty, staff, and students working in areas where infectious substances are used or stored; and all employees who have occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
