LA Returned to Committee Recommends endorsement of the attached, "Legislative Agenda of West Virginia Higher Education Faculty in 2006" as prepared by the Advisory Council of Faculty (ACF)
SR-05-06-(02) 47-104 IS Returned to Senator Recommends that the Elizabeth McDowell Lewis College of Business (LCOB) be granted an exemption to SR-03-04-49 FECAHC; it is requested that the total amount of equity and merit money allocated to the LCOB by the University be distributed to the LCOB as one lump sum for the LCOB to distribute under its own college system, as it has done before the adoption of SR-03-04-49 FECAHC. LCOB allocates faculty salary monies based on a merit system.
SR-05-06-(03) 48-105 LA Approved Recommends that the Faculty Senate and the Legislative Affairs Committee of Marshall University express our appreciation to the West Virginia Legislature and Governor Manchin for their endorsement of granting general salary increases for higher education faculty and staff in the 2005 Fourth Special Legislative Session through the passage of HB 414. SR-05-06-(06) 51-108 UFC Approved CONFIDENTIAL The University Functions Committee would like to nominate the following nine individuals to be added to the list for consideration as both commencement speaker and recipient of an honorary degree; the Committee also nominates the following four individuals to be added to the list to be considered for an honorary degree.
SR-05-06-(07) 52-109 LAC Approved Recommends endorsement of the Legislative Affairs Committee Legislative Agenda for the 2006 West Virginia Legislative Session. This agenda mirrors that of the Advisory Council of Faculty's (ACF) agenda in all substantive areas with the exception of points two and three in the section, Parity with Public School Teachers, where the Legislative Affairs Committee agenda provides clarification that properly reflects current state codes.

SR-05-06-(32) 77-134 PFPC Returned to Committee Recommends that during the fall and spring semesters, Monday morning through Friday morning, overnight parking in the Third Avenue parking garage is allowed only on level four (4) and above. This policy will be effective beginning with the fall semester, 2006.
