(Up to $2,500) – Awarded to first-time freshmen with a minimum ACT Composite Score of 26 or higher (SAT Score of 1170 CR + M or higher) and a 3.5 H.S. Grade Point Average who are admitted to Marshall University by May 15 and accept admission into the Honors College. The qualifying student must be a U.S. citizen or have U.S. Permanent Resident Alien status to receive this scholarship.
This is a 4-year scholarship that is renewable. The renewal criteria are as follows:
- Maintain good standing with the Honors College
- Successfully complete at least 26 credits each academic year
- Earn at least a 3.2 cumulative Grade Point Average by the end of freshman year
- Earn at least a 3.5 cumulative Grade Point Average by the end of sophomore and junior years
Board of Governors Honors Scholarship recipients also qualify to receive the River Cities Scholarship.
