Marshall University Student Government
President - Matthew James
The office of Student Body President represents the Student Government Association in all relations. The President makes recommendations to the university president concerning matters affecting the students that are not within the power of the Student Government to adjust. This year, President Sandy has several goals he would like to achieve, including creating a student discount card, planning a successful pep rally for the upcoming game against WVU, and overseeing the development of the new website. Vice-President - Sean Hornbuckle
The office of Student Body Vice-President is the President of the Student Senate. The VP conducts the weekly senate meetings and serves as a assistant to the Student Body President. Vice-President Elmore has many goals this year as well; she plans to work closely with the office of Multicultural Affairs to achieve a better represented Student Government Association and to oversee the planning and execution of many SGA events. Chief-of-Staff - Morganna Vigneron
The Chief-of-Staff provides general assistance to the President and Vice-President and is responsible for routine day-to-day activities. In addition, the Chief-of-Staff is responsible to assist the President and Vice-President on any projects they undertake. Overseeing all executives and ensuring executive duties are being accomplished is also part of the Chief-of-Staff's job description. The chief-of-staff's goal for the 2007-2008 student government term is the development of a new Greek dues system and to provide further communication between president and executives, senators, administration, faculty and other students.
Business Manager - Selina Most

The business manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Student Government budget. This year, he will also share the responsibility for updating the Student Government website with the Communications Director
Campus Development - Cat Staley
The office of campus development is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that further enhance the relationship between the Marshallcampus and the Huntington community. Such events include various community service activities, the annual Plane Crash Memorial Ceremony, and Homecoming. The primary goal of the campus development director for the 2007-2008 student government term is to help SGA maintain a positive relationship with the local community and business sector.
Communication Director - Tim Ward
The Communications Director is responsible for all media relations regarding Student Government Association. The position is responsible for writing and editing all public relations material (press release, media advisories, website information, newsletters, etc.) as well as the planning and execution of the annual Plane Crash Memorial Ceremony and other Student Government sponsored events. One main goal of the communications director for the 2007-2008 student government term is to maintain a positive image between SGA and the media; provide timely and newsworthy information to all media outlets concerning SGA and other student organization events.
Multicultural Affairs - Halima Al-Qawasmi
The office of Multicultural Affairs is responsible for achieving a diverse student government through promotions and emphasis on the various multi-cultural activities at Marshall University. The primary goal of the multicultural affairs director is to promote a more diverse student government to ensure fair representation; to help learn about and further promote the Multi-cultural affairs office and the various programs it sponsors.
Greek Liaison - Josh Cremeans
The Greek Liaison is responsible for all issues regarding Greek life at Marshall University from a Student Government standpoint. The office coordinates all Greek organizations to ensure effective events, promotes and encourages recruitment, and will work very closely with the office of Student Relations. The Greek liaison's goal for the 2007-2008 term is to enhance and continue a positive relationship with all Greeks; to help promote and encourage recruitment, event participation and award achievements made by members of these organizations.
