Samantha DiDomenico is a Senior Accounting major and Political Science minor from Follansbee, WV. She currently holds a 3.83 GPA and is a recurring member of the College of Business Dean’s List. Sam is very actively involved in her major and college. She is a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Honorary Accounting Fraternity and is very active in their meetings and community service events. She will also be using her expertise to help others by volunteering for a program which helps provide free income tax filing for low income families as well as international students at Marshall University. Aside from being active in her academics, Sam has been a member of the Thundering Herd Women’s Golf Team since her Freshman Year. She is also a current member of the Student Senate at Marshall.

Sam has a love for helping others and bettering her community. She has been a part of several philanthropic initiatives which include: Volunteering in several golf tournaments to raise breast cancer awareness, being a part of the Marshall University Athletics Sweetheart Clinic, and volunteering at the Guyan Country Club Junior Golf Clinic.

Aside from her recurring dean’s list honor, Sam has received a multitude of academic honors and achievements. She has been a member of the National Golf Coaches Association Division I All-Scholar Team for three years. She has also been on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll for three years. She is a university Presidential Scholarship recipient, a recipient of the J.W. & Emma Blair Endowed Scholarship, as well as the Erma Byrd Scholarship.

Sam is one of the most qualified and experienced candidates for Business Manager seen in years. She worked as an intern this past summer for the state’s top accounting firm, Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP. She used her accounting background to assist with audit and tax engagements and will begin working full-time for the firm in 2014 as a Tax Associate. Her future plans include receiving a Masters Degree of Accountancy and obtaining the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

Outside of her many university involvements as well as her many community service efforts, Sam enjoys golfing, watching college football, attending Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games, and cooking.
