- Marshall alumni returned to the Huntington campus for a
weekend of celebration.
Plans Announced for Engineering Lab
- A first look at the planned engineering laboratory was
unveiled during Alumni Weekend.
Virginia Tech Memorial
- On April 19, students, faculty, and staff at Marshall
joined for a memorial service for the victims of the Virginia Tech
tragedy.
Up Late - Students in a television production class are getting
hands-on experience with "Up Late," a talk show hosted by Jamie
LoFiego.
Maier Foundation Prizes - Top Latin and English students from
local high schools and Marshall received awards sponsored by the
Maier Foundation.
Empty Bowls - Students in Marshall's ceramics and public
relations programs joined together to fight hunger in the area.
Celebration of Academics
- Annual events honor this year's Drinko Fellow, Dr. Linda
Spatig, and Marshall honor students.
Marshall Idol
- Marshall University students participated in a singing
competition based on the hit television show, "American Idol."
New Head Coach
- Donnie Jones has been named head basketball coach at Marshall
University.
Assessment Day
- Marshall students participated in a day designed to find out
how the university is doing.
Major Expo
- Marshall students could get information on selecting or
changing majors in one convenient location April 3.
SCORES
- High school students came to the Huntington campus March 31 to
compete in a variety of academic and artistic endeavors.
Medical Research Day
- Marshall's medical school had its 20th annual research day in
March.
Campus Safety
- Marshall's police department sponsored personal safety
training for students.
3rd House
- Media reporters covering the State Capitol had some fun at the
expense of lawmakers and other officials, for the benefit of
Marshall's journalism school.
