Tips for making posters in PowerPoint
Audience: Prepare your presentation for a general scientific audience, primarily students and faculty from all departments within the College of Science.
Size: maximum size is 4 feet X 4 feet
Format: It is highly recommended that all posters be printed on large format printers. If you choose to assemble your poster as individual pieces, please bring a large single piece of poster board on which to mount the pieces.
Display: All posters will be assigned a number and location which will be indicated in the Program. Posters may be hung up after 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 30. On May 1, poster viewing will be from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Judging will be either from 9:00- 10:00 am or 10:00-11:00 am. If you are unable to be present at one of these sessions please notify Dr. Harrison at email@example.com.
Audience: Prepare your presentation for a general scientific audience (i.e. students and faculty from all departments within the College of Science).
Length: Talks will be limited to 10-12 minutes with 2 minutes for questions. This time limitation will be strictly followed. A general rule of thumb is to allow approximately 1 min per slide. Therefore, your talk should have 10-15 sildes in total.
Location: Talks will be held on Friday, May 1 from 12:00- 2:00 pm in the BBSC 102.
Format: Please come prepared with your presentation on a disk or flash drive to be loaded on the computer in the room. It is strongly recommended that you send your presentation to Dr. Marcia Harrison (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 11:00 am on Friday.
