Welcome to Marshall University and our Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Marshall University is proud to host the Opening Ceremonies for the U.S. Youth Soccer Region One Tournament.

Whether you are here this week to play or cheer, I encourage you to take a few moments to explore our remarkable campus. As you stroll around campus, discover a rich blend of history and modern development as denoted by the statue of our namesake, the great Chief Justice John Marshall, as well as the Robert C. Byrd Biotechnology and Science Center, the Memorial Fountain, our state-of-the-art Student Recreation Center, and our beautiful new Foundation Hall. Read More...

Below you will find a list of Marshall University Residence Halls where our guests will enjoy staying in during the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 1 Championships to be held in Huntington, WV in Summer 2010.

Let's not forget that finding your favorite foods on campus is easy! Harless Dining Hall features a wide variety of fresh food designed to satisfy everyone's appetite with food choices to rival your favorite restaurants. The menu selection includes just about every item you can imagine. Just feast your eyes on what we have available!

Everyone residing on Marshall University’s campus during the event must register at the Memorial Student Center on Thursday, July 1st. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ATTENTION: All guests arriving on Wednesday, June 30th, must register in Twin Towers West Residence Hall.

During this time you will be assigned a room, given welcome information, and may ask questions about your stay.

Harless Dining Hall, located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 17th Street, offers an all-you-can-eat menu, a variety of freshly prepared food selections and serves hot lunch and dinner.
Our newest Coffee Shop at Marshall University campus invites its patrons to wake up and smell the fresh brewed selection of coffees or kick back and relax as you enjoy a fresh gourmet salad or hearty sandwich on focaccia. In addition, MU Campus Express, our on-campus convenience store offers a wide variety of food options, including pizza, sub sandwiches, ice cream, candy, beverages, ice, etc. It is located on the north side of Holderby Hall (next door to Twin Towers West). While on-campus, be sure to make a trip our University Bookstore for souvenirs and MU gear or spend some time in the Recreation Center for quick workout or swim in the pool. In addition, take a leisurely walk on our beautifully landscaped campus and visit the locations where "We Are... Marshall" the movie was filmed.

Getting Around Huntington

Located only blocks away from Marshall, our downtown area provides many offerings in the way of shopping and entertainment. Stroll through our town square which features a nostalgic nod to Huntington’s railroad beginnings and take time to visit our Convention and Visitors Bureau which offers plenty of information on area attractions. Year-round, you’ll find a variety of festivals and special events to enjoy around the downtown area, Pullman Square, Civic Arena and the historic Keith-Albee Theatre.
