03.11.2009 JMC JUNIOR WINS STATE'S ONLY STUDENT ADDY Wade McComas, a junior advertising major from Ravenswood, took a Silver Addy in the Student Division of the Advertising Awards of West Virginia sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of West Virginia. McComas won for a poster he designed for the SOJMC's 1968 Revisited symposium on journalism. His design advances to district Addy competition, which will be held in April and will include student work from West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. Winners at the district level will advance to the national Addy competition in June. A Silver Addy is a second place award, but there were no first place awards given in the student category.
