MU Orchestra - "Who's Afraid of the Orchestra?" @ Smith Recital Hall

The Marshall University Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Reed Smith, will present “Who’s Afraid of the Orchestra?” on Tuesday, October 21, at 7:30 PM in Marshall’s Smith Recital Hall.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature scary music by classical composers Johan Strauss, Jr., Charles Gounod, Hector Berlioz, and Manual De Falla, and will end with a medley of music from Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Dr. Larry Stickler of the Department of Music at Marshall will narrate.

The 52-member orchestra will perform in costume, and the audience is invited to dress in costume. Glow bracelets will be handed out at the door.

The performance is free and open to the public. For further information please contact the Department of Music at (304)696-3117.
