The Master of Arts (MA) in Music Education, administered by the Graduate College, offers music educators the opportunity to hone both musical and teaching skills in a degree program that can be individualized according to the needs of each student.  The program provides specialized music education instruction as well as opportunities for study in conducting, arranging, performance, administration, and research.

 

Graduates of the program are able to maintain teacher certification, achieve higher placement on the career ladder, be accepted into doctoral programs, and work toward national certification. Classes are scheduled so as to make them available to anyone with full-time employment.
