The Master of Arts (MA) in Music History and Literature serves musicians desiring to pursue graduate study in the fields of music history and musicology.  Studies focus on music history, research, reading, and listening. Graduates of this program are prepared to pursue doctoral study in musicology, doctoral study in comparative arts, and/or careers in university-level teaching and music librarianship.  Students may choose from the thesis track or non-thesis track, dependent upon their career goals.
