Walter Jett, Born 2/22/1912 and died 12/9/83. County Extension Agent. Mr. Jett was interviewed in his office in Marlington, WV in the morning. He has been included because of his leadership in Economic development during the mid part of the century. He helped develop many projects, but of note was the establishing of markets for livestock. Of interest in the transcript was the account of using airplanes to drop lime and fertilizers along the mountain “flats” and in the narrow valleys. In appearance Mr. Jett was tall and lanky.
