During her lifetime Rosanna Blake acquired an amazing
Library of Confederate History that is considered by many to be one of the finest private collections of Confederate history assembled in the United States. Her library was donated to Marshall University after her death. The following exhibit provides a sample of the many extraordinary items in her library.
Rosanna Blake prepared a brief explanation about her library. The holdings of the Blake Library are available by searching Marshall University Library's online catalog.
The Blake Library is housed in a separate section of Special Collections and has shorter hours. Researchers should call ahead (1-304-696-3097 or 1-304-696-2343) to ensure that the Blake Library will be available.
