The House resumed the consideration of the unfinished business, viz.
The resolution of Mr. [Josiah] Turner, “tendering negotiations for peace and a mitigation of the horrors of the war.”

Pending which,
Mr. [Michael W.] Cluskey moved to reconsider the resolution of the Senate in relation to a recess.
