  Save Every lamb
In Save Every Lamb Jesse Stuart turns to stories about animals, one of his favorite subjects. The book’s twenty-five stories are divided into three sections: Save Every Lamb (six stories); Angel in the Pasture (eight stories); and Night and the Whippoorwill (11 stories). He writes about all creatures, from reptiles, birds, pigs, lambs, dogs calves, and bulls, to even insects. The dust jacket stated that Stuart’s stories “will please not only anyone who has ever pressed his nose against a pet shop windows or waited for the first birds of summer.” His words shows a lifetime devoted to observing nature and all its varied creatures.
