MUSLP offers a workshop every Fall and Spring semester for community partners to get better acquainted with service-learning.

The workshop is designed to help you:

• Identify how service learning is situated along the experiential learning continuum
• Define service learning
• Recognize the benefits of service learning
• Differentiate between Problem-Based, Discipline-Reflective, and Community-Based Research service learning models
• Recognize roles and responsibilities of faculty
• Define roles and responsibilities of students
• Define roles and responsibilities of the community partner
• Create and maintain a meaningful partnership
• Identify the principles of problem prevention
