Membership Requirements Academic Requirements The Panhellenic Council and Marshall sororities consider academic achievement a priority. Although Panhellenic does not require a specific grade point average, participants must be enrolled as a full-time Marshall student. Each sorority chapter sets its own minimum GPA requirement for joining, which are listed here.
Financial Obligations Like all good things, sorority membership also comes with financial obligations. From initiation fees to facility user fees to chapter and national dues, these funds allow the chapters to continue functioning. Panhellenic sororities understand the financial constraints on college students and try to keep costs as low as possible. It is not uncommon for women to use scholarship or student loans or acquire a part-time job to pay for sorority membership.
Housing Requirements Each sorority has their own individual housing requirements. Three of the chapters on campus have houses and the other two have suites where they meet. This gives you the opportunity to decide what living arrangement is more beneficial to you. While living in a sorority house your food and utilities are included in room and board, information found under financial obligations.
