About

The Marshall in Puebla, Mexico Program is a 3-week academic immersion program located in the historical city of Puebla, Mexico. The program is under the direction of the Office of Study Abroad and the Center for International Programs at Marshall.

Academic Details

Students have the opportunity to receive up to 3 credits in their field of study based on the courses offered by the program. A list of courses can be found here: www.summerpueblamexico.com There is also an optional course of intensive Spanish that provides that is worth 24 hours of instruction.

​Program Details

The Marshall in Puebla Program is led by a full-time Marshall professor. Students are housed in fully furnished local apartments, dorms, or home stays around the city of Puebla. Students are within a short commute to the local university classrooms where in-class academic instruction takes place.

  • $900 – 3 credits
  • $500-Housing/Meals (Not Included)
  • Airfare- Estimated $800 (not included)

  • Ground Transportation From Benito Juarez Airport (Mexico City) to Puebla City. Approximately 2 hours.

How to Apply

Students interested in participating in the Marshall in Puebla Program should contact the Office of Study Abroad in Old Main 321.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Students can use financial aid they have available to them from the current academic year for the Puebla Program. Students must be enrolled for 6 credits in the summer term at Marshall for their financial aid to be used. Please visit Sarah Musgrave musgrave3@marshall.edu  in the Office of Financial Aid to inquire more about your financial aid options.

The Marshall University Office of Study Abroad annually offers a few summer scholarships for Marshall students who have applied and been accepted to a Marshall summer study abroad program. Visit the Office of Study Abroad for more information.
