Katherine Hetzer, Academic Advisor for the College of Business, has been named the Marshall University Employee of the Month for May, according to Michelle Brown Douglas, chair of the Employee of the Month Committee.
A MU employee for 18 years, she was nominated by Dr. Chong Kim and Lisa Williamson.
In their nomination, they wrote: “Katherine is responsible for the academic advising of approximately 500 students. She is caring and concerned about her students and wants to see them succeed. She receives many compliments from students about the advising she provides. Katherine is also responsible for managing the college’s Peer Mentor program, which she created. She is a leader and a team player and the College of Business is very lucky to have her.”
