The fall 2012 faculty and staff fitness challenge runs from Sept. 3-Nov. 19 and team sign-ups are now under way.
Teams of up to five coworkers can register at www.MarshallCampusRec.com. Total weekly exercise times can be logged in every Monday at the same website. Times may not be back-logged after one week. Team standings will be updated weekly.
Additional physical activity beyond the activities of daily life can include, for example, exercise at a fitness center, continuous brisk walking, running or hiking (not to and from a parking lot, shopping, sightseeing, etc.) playing games such as basketball or volleyball, exercise video workouts or attending fitness classes (Zumba, kickboxing, spin, Yogi, etc.). If there are questions about other activities, contact Heather Smith, senior assistant director of the Fitness and Recreation Center at email@example.com, or by phone at ext. 6-3653.
At the end of the challenge, the top three teams will be awarded prizes including Fitness Challenge T-shirts, one-month membership at the Marshall Recreation Center, MRC guest passes, instructional program gift certificates and others.
Recreation Center membership is not required to take part.
