A spaghetti dinner to benefit the Upward Bound Scholarship fund at Marshall University will take place Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Community of Grace Church at 225 28th Street in Huntington.
Carryout-only will run from noon to 3 p.m., with dine in or carryout scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets for the meal, which will include salad, bread and dessert in addition to spaghetti, are $8 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. Those ordering for carryout are asked to allow 15-20 minutes before pickup.
All money raised will go toward the Upward Bound Scholarship Fund for graduating high school seniors and for cultural enrichment. The event is being sponsored by Marshall’s Upward Bound parent group.
Upward Bound is part
of the TRIO programs which are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act
of 1965 to provide opportunities for underrepresented students. TRIO offers
