Connecting My Computer To The Network Jack

This section is for those who have never had a computer on the network at Marshall University in a residence hall.

WHERE IS THE NETWORK JACK?

In Holderby, Buskirk, Laidley, or Hodges Halls you will find the network jack located on the wall; both jacks are for a network cable connection. Please try both jacks when connecting your computer to the network. (In single occupancy rooms only one jack is active.)

In Twin Towers East and West you will find two network jacks; one on each side of the room.

You must use at least a category 5 network cable to connect your computer to the Marshall Network.
