Surplus Computer Sale
LEGAL NOTICE
Marshall University will conduct a
special public sale, by written bid, on surplus computing equipment at
201 21st Street. This location is also known as the home of
Marshall’s Receiving Department and is across the street from the State
Electric showroom. Approximately 5 of the better computers will be sold
as individual units and approximately 150 computers will be sold in lots
of 5 or more with minimum bids on some lots. Also for sale will be
monitors and possibly networking equipment. Detailed information and
free e-mail subscription for information updates is available online at
http://www.marshall.edu/ucs/computersale/. Details are often
updated several times before the sale date.
The sale will be held Monday, November
13, 2006 from 9-3pm in the Receiving Department warehouse located at 201
21st Street. Registration and bid forms will be provided at
the site. Sealed bids will be opened on November 14th and
successful bidders will be contacted and will be required to pick up the
items no later than November 16th between the hours of 9am
and 3pm. Cash payments or checks made payable to Marshall University
will be required before the property can be removed.
Marshall University
reserves the right to reject any or all bids. While most of the
computers and monitors have been recently operated and tested by staff
(and documentation of such will be provided), the University takes no
responsibility and makes no guarantee for items sold. All property is
offered for sale on an “as is-where is” basis. No warranties or
guarantees are given or implied, and refunds or exchanges on defective
equipment are not authorized. Future sale dates are planned for January
22nd, 2007, March 19th, May 14th, July 16th, and September 17th; these
dates are subject to change.
