Online access to selected student information and registration is available through this link. University Computing Facilities

Marshall University maintains several Personal Computing Facilities located throughout the campuses. The facilities are available for open access computing and for classroom instruction. For more Information about the equipment and software available visit this link.


Scheduling Computing Facilities

Selected Computing Facilities may be scheduled by faculty/staff for class instruction. To schedule class time or view the Computing Facilities Scheduling Policy visit the University Computing Facilities web site listed above.


Test Scoring

Optical Mark Test Scoring services are available for faculty by dropping off your marked option sheets. Test key and answer sheets at the reception area of Computing Services on the 4th floor of the new John Deaver Drinko Library.


MUnet

MUnet is Marshall University's computing network. Accessed from your desktop, home, or on the road by using your computing account. Logging into MUnet provides you with access to a variety of software and services.


Computing Accounts

Computing accounts are available to all faculty, staff, and students at Marshall University. To obtain your account (a username and password), you'll need to present your ID card to one of the attendants at most University Computing Facilities.


Email and Personal WebPages

All students, faculty and staff at Marshall University have an electronic mail address and personal web page. Your e-mail address is simply MUnet username followed by @marshall.edu . A personal web page is also available using the web address of http://webpages.marshall.edu/~username/ (where username is your MUnet username). Visit http://www.marshall.edu/computing/email/ for more information on using electronic mail, and http://www.marshall.edu/computing/webpages/ for more information on web page setup.


Printing

Mono color and Color laser Printing Station are available throughout campus at Print Stations located in Drinko Library, Corbly and Smith Halls and other locations. There is a fee for printing.


Help Desk

A Help Desk is available to answer computer related problems for students, faculty and staff. The Help Desk can be reached at ext. 3200, by email at helpdesk@marshall.edu or by stopping by the Computing Services main offices. See http://www.marshall.edu/computing/helpdesk/ for more information. Current hours of operation are as follows:

8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Mon - Thurs.
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Friday
12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Saturday
1:00 PM - 9:00 PM Sunday



Dial-up Internet Service

Dial-up Internet Service and access to MUnet is available through WVNET for a low monthly fee. Call ext. 3200 for more information or visit the web site at http://www.marshall.edu/ucs/cs/helpdesk/helpdesk-wvnet.asp .
