This site is for current Marshall University students, faculty and staff. A MUNet account username and password is required. UCS strongly recommends using antivirus software and keeping operating systems up-to-date.

The current version of antivirus offered is Symantec Endpoint Protection and is available as a web download. There is also a version of Symantec Antivirus for MAC 0S 10.3+.

The download version of antivirus offered from this website is the UNMANAGED version, which is meant to be used by students in the residence halls, or students, faculty, and staff who are located off campus. If you are a faculty or staff member on campus, please contact the Computing Services Help Desk to get the appropriate managed client version for your computer. Faculty and staff who use a notebook computer, and use that computer both on campus and at home, should use the unmanaged version offered from this website to prevent any conflicts with getting updates to the client.

With the Symantec Endpoint Protection product line, Symantec has bundled advanced features such as a built in firewall into the client. The download offered on this website is configured to only offer Antivirus and Antispyware protection. If you wish to get a more advanced version of the client, please contact the Computing Services Help Desk to obtain a copy of that particular version.
