Microsoft Offer To Students – The Ultimate Steal

Microsoft is offering Office 2007 Ultimate for $59.95 to all eligible university students. Faculty and staff are not eligible but may be interested in the last paragraph in this announcement.

University Computing Services (UCS) believes this offer from Microsoft is a very good deal for our students, but there are some important considerations written in the fine print. For example, Microsoft says students must be:

1. actively enrolled with at least 50% of a full course load, which means actively enrolled for 6 credit hours or more at Marshall and
2. able to provide proof of enrollment status (i.e., student card) upon request by Microsoft. Microsoft or an appointed vendor may contact you to verify that you are a current student. If documentation is not provided indicating that you are a current student, you will be liable to reimburse Microsoft for the full retail cost of the software ($679).

Office 2007 Ultimate includes the following applications:
Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manger
Excel 2007
PowerPoint 2007
Word 2007
OneNote 2007
InfoPath 2007
Groove 2007
Publisher 2007
Access 2007
Accounting Express 2007

Marshall University is NOT a party to this transaction, though we do recommend this for any qualified student desiring a steeply discounted price on Office 2007 Ultimate.

Offer is for students only, ends April 30, 2008.
