Mtn. Volunteers are needed M-F 8-4:45 to do clerical, data entry, or one-on-one with participants.

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Network Laura Gilliam @ 697-1274 assistance with elderly to do many things including grocery shopping, filling prescriptions, helping with housework, provide respite care for family caregivers.
Can arrange group activities to do "spring cleaning" and homecare projects such as gutter cleaning, painting porches, raking/mowing lawns etc.

CONTACT 523-3447 several programs are in place including telephone helplines for depression, grief, loneliness; rape crisis counseling, making daily calls to shut-in elderly or handicapped clients, and parents helpline. Must successfully complete a training course and be willing to work a minimum of 12 hours per month for at least one year. Helplines are open 24 hours/7 days week. Comprehensive training provides valuable and transferable interpersonal and counseling skills. Advanced training available for experienced committed volunteers.
