The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools is conducting a periodic (10-year) comprehensive evaluation of Marshall University for the purpose of reaffirming Marshall’s continuous accreditation with the HLC.

Drop-in sessions for students, faculty and staff during the site visit are scheduled as follows:
- Students: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, Memorial Student Center, room 2W37
- Faculty: 5-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, in the Memorial Student Center, Shawkey Dining Room.
- Staff (classified and non-classified): 8:30-9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the Memorial Student Center, Shawkey Dining Room.

Marshall has been accredited with the HLC since 1928. Its last comprehensive evaluation was in 2005-06.
