    Michelle Barbour, Career Counselor in Career Services/Student Resource Center, has been named the 2012 Marshall University Employee of the Year. The announcement was made by President Stephen J. Kopp at the May 15 service awards brunch.   • Marshall Health appoints new director of pharmacy services

    Brian A. Gallagher, R.Ph., J.D., is the new director of pharmacy services with Marshall Health for the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and the Marshall University School of Pharmacy. He has a joint faculty appointment in both schools.   • Autism presentation to take place May 30


    Dr. Monika Suchowierska will give a presentation titled “Perceiving Autism as Characteristic Patterns of Organized Behaviors” Thursday, May 30, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center, room 2W22, on the Huntington campus. This presentation is co-sponsored by the West Virginia Autism Training Center at MU and the Department of Psychology at MU. There is no registration necessary and no fee to attend.   • Booth vendors sought for RecFest ’13


    The Marshall Recreation Center will be hosting the 4th installment of RecFest Saturday, Aug. 24, from noon until 3 p.m., according to Kayla Dodd, marketing assistant for the center. RecFest is an important aspect of Marshall University’s Week of Welcome, Dodd said, which allows Marshall University and the community to greet the 14,000 students back to the Huntington campus for another year.
