Immunizations

Living, working, or attending classes on such a large campus can increase chances of becoming sick from illnesses such as the influenza virus, meningitis, or a simple cold. MU Wellness encourages preventative measures from becoming sick, such as covering mouths when sneezing or coughing, washing hands, staying home when sick, and receiving proper immunizations.

The Cabell-Huntington Health Department offers free flu shots on a regular basis. Marshall University partners with the Health Department to offer these shots on campus to increase ease and availability to Marshall students and staff. Check this site as well as our Facebook page and the local newspapers for dates and times that we offer these shots, which are usually available on a first come, first serve basis.

On certain dates, the Cabell-Huntington Health Department will be sponsoring a vaccination clinics here on campus to update students with immunizations, including MMR, Meningitis, HPV, and other necessary vaccines. If you are interested, call our office at 304-696-4103. If you are not sure what vaccinations you need, check with your doctor or local health department.
