In My Own Words

I transferred to Marshall in the fall of 2011 after receiving a double-associates degree at ACTC in Ashland, KY. I was introduced to Dr. Bailey nearly by mistake one afternoon and he invited me to join the WMUL staff. I took him up on the offer and the opportunities that I’ve experienced over the last few months could last a lifetime. My first job with WMUL was as an engineer for a football game. Since that game I have worked on the broadcast team as color analyst and play-by-play broadcaster for volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball. Looking back at all of the experiences last semester is mind boggling when I think about everything I have done.

I host a sports-talk radio show on Monday and Thursday discussing national, regional and local sports topics. Talking sports is a hobby of mine for many years and talking is that comes natural.

When I’m away from school and not working with WMUL, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys. With both of my boys playing sports, we live on fields and in gymnasiums. We enjoy camping and fishing when we just want to get away and relax.

Although I’m not a broadcast or journalism major, I have been welcomed to WMUL by the staff members and enjoy every chance I have to work with them. Sports are a passion of mine and I’m fortunate to be a part of the WMUL staff.
