In My Own Words

I started as a freshman at Marshall in the fall of 2010, and have volunteered at WMUL since day one. Throughout my freshman year, I hosted a three-hour morning show - "Thursday Thunder" - and I became involved with the sports, news, and production staffs. I was amazed at the countless opportunities I had to be on the air from the first day I joined the staff, and I am still amazed at how advanced the soundboards, equipment and software at the station are. Using all these great tools, I have been able to put together some great - even award-winning - work.

My other J-school endeavor is at The Parthenon, where I have been photo editor nearly every semester I've been at Marshall, starting my freshman year. I spend most of my time taking photos for The Parthenon's print and web products. On top of that, I write and shoot freelance for several southern West Virginia newspapers, so my weekends are consumed covering high school and Marshall football.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading the news, riding my bike around Huntington and traveling.
