The Less Serious List

Hi! My name is..: Jesse, Jessie, Jesci, Jesi, Jeseee, Jes- C, and even Jezzi. It's cute how it really bothers people that I won't pick a spelling. My name is never Jessica.
Funny Habits: I eat frozen chocolate chip waffles while they are still frozen. I say "indeed" too much. I know the lyrics to every song that was on the radio between 1988 and now. I often speak in lyrics.
Hobbies: I collect vinyl records, boat, and paint old furniture.
My parents knew I was obsessed with music when: .. at five years old I shaved my Barbie's head and told my Mom it was my Sinead O'Conner Barbie.
Weirdo Obsessions: Zach Braff and every other dark headed geeky feller sporting a slightly oversized nose. Blind Melon, Neil Finn, and India.Arie make my world spin on the happiest axis. Oh and that is just the beginning.

In My Own Words

I came to Marshall with full intentions of becoming a creator of some sort. I initially thought that my art would grow through being an English major, then WMUL stole me away. I never thought that I could work in music without being an artist myself. I heard from Dan Hollis that there was a very special position in radio called a music director and their job was to be the judge of what came into the station. My ears perked up and I haven't looked back. I looked forward and that is what WMUL has provided for me -- a constant forward motion in the growth of my resume, aspirations, and involvement at Marshall.

If you're looking for the opportunity to travel, make new friends, and build your resume then WMUL is where you need to be hanging out!
