In My Own Words

I came to WMUL as a reporter, but had not a clue about how to report. I sat down to edit a news package surrounded by about five people, who spent half of their day patiently helping me put it together, and I’ve been hooked ever since! I continue to do weekly packages, as well as reporting weather and anchoring our 5 p.m. weekday newscast.

WMUL isn’t the only place I am involved in news. I also report for MU Report, Marshall’s television newscast, and work part time at WSAZ, to which I credit for my newly acquired arm strength due to heavy cameras and tripods. But in all seriousness, I love it and it’s a wonderful learning experience.

My first love was cheerleading, which is the reason I came to Marshall in the first place. However, I have just recently given up the pom poms for good in order to concentrate on this graduation thing I have coming up and to focus on getting a career. Other than that my main hobbies are working out and spending time with my fabulous family and friends.
