The Less Serious List

Biggest Fear: Clowns
Biggest Obsessions: Pink Flamingos (yes, they are adorable), text messages, and sweet tea (YUM)
Most overused phrase: “I know, right.”…or….”The end.”
My list of favorites: driving w/ the windows down, honeysuckles, flip-flops, old hoodies, good music, text messages, the smell of fall when you know it’s football season, sports, sports movies, friend-time, family-time and quality time w/ my dog, Buddy!

In My Own Words

I first joined the staff of WMUL my freshman year and have been hooked on the media ever since. I consider myself a media junkie, but that is just a more positive way to say “couch potato,” which I would be if I ever had the time.

As station manager, I have the opportunity to work with other students who share the desire to succeed in this business, and in this business it is definitely hard to succeed. However, here at WMUL our success speaks for itself, and for that, I am truly grateful.

My home away from my apartment away from home is WMUL. My evenings are spent here writing and anchoring the news, dj-ing and helping out anyway I can to make sure we deliver the best product imaginable to the folks of the tri-state and Marshall University.

If I do step out of the windowless compound of the Communications Building, you can usually find me hanging out with my friends, catching a movie or going to a ballgame. Yes, in addition to my love for news, I have a love for sports as well. This love for sports translates into having a SECOND full-time job at ESPN Regional Television in Huntington.

One might ask, “How does one work 2 full-time jobs and attend school.”
My reply, “Dedication and lots and lots of caffeine.” The end.
