WMUL-FM earns 25 more awards

Huntington, W.Va. (April 11, 2014) - Students of Marshall University's student radio station, WMUL-FM, earned a total of sixteen awards from the National Broadcasting Society AERho competition and nine total awards from Region Four of the Society of Professional Journalists at conventions for each contest held March 15 and April 5, respectively.

Hair from the Herd set for April 24

Huntington, W.Va. (April 7, 2014) - WMUL-FM will be continuing the tradition of “Hair from the Herd” for a seventh consecutive year , an event that will benefit Locks of Love which is set for Thursday, April 24 from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m., on Marshall University’s Memorial Student Center Plaza.

This last year WMUL-FM collected 943 inches of hair from 22 different donors and wants to collect even more hair this year.

Newscenter 88 Begins Feb. 10

Huntington, W.Va. (Feb. 9, 2014) - WMUL's award-winning 30-minute newscast, Newscenter 88, will begin for the Spring 2014 semester on Monday, February 10 at 5 p.m. Tune in every Monday-Friday from 5-5:30 on 88.1 in the Huntington Tri-State area or anywhere in the world on our live webstream for the latest news from around Marshall University and and the surrounding vicinity.
