May 4- The Marshall Softball team heads into a weekend series against Conference USA foe, the UCF Knights, in what will be senior day for seven of the players.

May 2- Marshall's track and field team performed well at the Penn Relays. The Thundering Herd track and field is excelling as the team gets ready for the Conference USA Championships.
April 20- After picking up two wins in a midweek series against the Morehead State Eagles, the Thundering Herd welcome the Longwood Lancers for a two game weekend series.
April 11- Vinny Curry has dreamed of playing professional football and with only weeks remaining before the NFL draft. The emotions of living out his dream are running high as FM 88 Sports Marcus Constantino reports.
April 5- Marshall's softball program host what is know as the "Lil Sis" program which involves the athletes on the team mentoring young girls. FM 88 Sports Nathan Barham has more.
April 4- Aaron Dobson will be a senior wide reciever for the Thundering Herd football program this fall. He is embracing the role of being a leader both on and off the field as FM 88 Sports Adam Rogers reports.
March 30- Vinny Curry, Delvin Johnson and Brandon Bullock were key contributers on the defensive line for the the Thundering Herd football program in the 2011-2012 season. FM 88 Sports Will Vance has more on the Herd replacing the defesnsive line.
March 29- Nathan Kerns, a member of The Thundering Herd Men's Golf team, has had a successful junior season and will look to carry that into the final two tounaments.
March 13- For the first time in 24 years the Thundering Herd is ready to take on Middle Tennessee State. The Herd might have been NCAA snubbed but is ready for the NIT.
March 12- The Thundering Herd softball's third basemen is leading the team in several statistical categories. Jazmine Valle has been a cornerstone for Herd softball.
March 6- Marshall Men's basketball season ended with a win agianst Southern Miss earning them the sixth seed in the conference USA tournament and will play Southern Methodist.
March 1- Shaquille Johnson implemented himself in the Marshall record books surpassing Darryl Merthie. Johnson's final regular season game inside the Cam Henderson Center is on Saturday.
March 1- The Marshall softball team will open up their first home games of the season in the Marshall Invitational. The teams included with Marshall is Kent State, Bucknell and IPFW.
March 1- The Thundering Herd fought tough against East Carolina on senior night but lost. The team has no time to think about that game and rebound against the UCF Knights.
February 28- Vinny Curry was the anchor for Thundering Herd's defense this past season and is now working toward a future in the NFL as Adam Rogers reports.
February 27- Alaya Mitchell, Lateidra Elliott and Rashedah Henriques were honored on senior night and put on a show against the East Carolina Pirates. However, the team would fall in overtime 63-62.
February 23- The Thundering Herd women's basketball team fell to Southern Miss 63-55. Marshall made it interesting at times but ultimatley came up short.
February 22- All too often goodbyes for senior athletes are always tough to say however as Joshua Rose explains the coaches have just has hard of a time saying goodbye as the players do.
February 22- The Herd is on a two game win streak and looks to build upon that with this game. Marshall knows that Houston has the potential of pulling an upset.
February 21- In the last four Marshall men's basketball games, senior point guard, Damier Pitts is averaging 21.5 points. On the season Pitts is averaging 14.3 points.
February 15- Veterans Memorial Field House closed down its doors for good. Marshall basketball players that did not play in the Field House but rather in the Cam Henderson Center offered their perspective.
Marshall 2012 Football Recruiting Class
February- Marshall head football coach, Doc Holliday, features 30 student-athletes. Marshall's recruiting class has being rated as one of the top two classes in Conference USA and features 12 players from the state of Florida. With more on the recruits listen to members of the FM 88 Sports team.
February 13- On Sunday the Herd was in East Carolina to take on the Pirates and held a lead at halftime. The Pirates scored 40 second half points en route to a 61-57 win over the Herd.
February 13- A legend to Marshall University basketball, Hal Greer, returned to Huntington to particapte in the alumni basketball game at Veterans Memorial Field House.
February 13- Marshall men's basketball took on East Carolina on Saturday without leading scorer DeAndre Kane. Damier Pitts scored a game 27 points in the 78-68 win.
February 10- After leading at halftime the Herd then fell to the UTEP Miners 64-56. Marshall put forth a tough effort but in the end fell short as Alaya Mitchell recorded 10 points for the Herd.
February 10- Marshall's swimming and diving team has had their most successful season since joining Conference USA. The team is getting set for the C-USA championships.
February 8- First year Marshall Women's Basketball assistant coach Ed Geth has mentored the post players. Marshall's frontcourt is learning several things from their coach.
February 3- Marshall Women's Track and Field coach, Jeff Small, is looking to have a good season with the team. Coach Small allows his assistants to do their job.
February 2- The Thundering Herd Women's basketball program will look to pick up a win against the Rice Owls. The team is on a current five game loosing streak and will look to turn their fortune around.
February 1- Marshall Men's basketball team has three special fans that attend every home game. The three elderly women arrive before each game and talk to the players. (Photo by Marcus Constantino).
January 22- The Thundering Herd Women's basketball team jumped out to an early lead against the Knights, but was unable to hold on the win as the team fell 55-44.
January 19- Marshall Men's Basketball looked secure their second win in two season against West Virginia. Marshall was unable to get the win and fell 78-62 in the Capital Classic.
January 18- Marshall's Dennis Tinnon and West Virginia's Kevin Jones are two of the top power fowards in college basketball. The two are set to clash in the Capital Classic.
January 17- In 2011 the Marshall Thundering Herd Women's basketball team took on the West Virginia Mountaineers in the Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic. The Herd lost 78-21.
