Refund Schedule

Please note that refunds for schedule adjustments, withdrawals, etc. take approximately 3 weeks to process.  Financial aid recipients must have their accounts reviewed and approved by the Office of Student Financial before a refund may be issued.  In some instances, monies may have to be returned to the funding source.

Intersession

 100% refund March 26  - May 6
90% refund May 7 – 9
70% refund May 10 – 11
50% refund May 12 – 16

Summer I

 100% refund March 26  - May 20
90% refund May 21 – 31
70% refund June 1 – 11
50% refund June 12 – 21

Summer II

 100% refund March 26  - June 3
90% refund June 4 – 7
70% refund June 8 – 11
50% refund June 12 – 15

Summer III

 100% refund March 26  - July 9
90% refund July 10 – 13
70% refund July 17 – 17
50% refund July 18 – 23

Students Receiving Financial Assistance:
Students receiving financial assistance covered by Title IV of the 1992 Higher Education Act, who officially shall receive a refund in accordance with the Higher Education Amendments of 1998. Marshall University will determine how much Title IV aid a student has received and not earned at the time of total withdrawal. The amount of aid earned is calculated on a prorata basis through 60% of the payment period.
